Price Lists

Customer-facing price lists for stock, for your own designs, or for a hand-picked selection.

A price list is a document you hand or email to a customer. Everything on this page produces the same document — the same letterhead, the same layout, the same footer — so whichever route you take, what the customer receives looks like it came from one shop.

Price lists download as PDF only. That is deliberate: a spreadsheet of your prices is an internal working file, and that is what the Stock list view is for.

Three ways to make one

From a stock list. Open Jewelry, Diamonds, Colored Stones, Pearls or Watches, filter or tick the rows you want, and choose Print / Export. On the report, flip the toggle from Stock list to Price list. Whatever you were looking at is what prints — filters, sort order and the price column you picked all carry across.

From your design catalog. Open Styles → House Designs, choose Print / Export, and flip the toggle to Price list — the same two views the stock lists have. This one lists your designs, not your stock, so a design you have never actually made still appears, which is usually the point of showing a customer what you can make. It is only offered on the House Designs tab; vendor styles are somebody else’s designs.

From a hand-picked selection. Reports → Price List lets you type or scan stock numbers and build a list by hand. This is the only one that can mix jewelry, watches and stones on a single sheet, and the only one you can email to a named customer from inside the app.

What a customer sees, and what they don’t

A price list quietly leaves out anything that is your business rather than theirs:

  • No cost, ever, and no indication of which price tier was used. You choose Price 1, Retail or Cost on the screen; the printed column just says Price.
  • No vendor. Naming your supplier on a quote invites the customer to go around you.
  • No quantities. The sheet already covers what is in stock or on memo, and “Qty On Memo: 1” tells a customer the piece they are being quoted is out with somebody else.
  • No totals. Nobody is buying everything on the list.

A blank price means the price could not be worked out — most often a design with no retail multiplier set. It is deliberately left blank rather than printed as $0.00, because a zero is a number a customer can act on.

Photographs

Tick Include photos to print the picture. Stones with no photograph print a shape icon in their stone color instead, which for loose stones is the normal case.

Photographs make for a much longer document — expect roughly five rows to a page. For a long list, send it filtered rather than whole.

Long lists

A price list stops at 5,000 rows. When that happens the file name says so — …-FIRST-5000-of-8231-… — because a truncated price list otherwise looks exactly like a complete one.
