The Customer List report answers “who do I have, and where are they.” Pick a state (or several), narrow by type or city if you want, then print it, email it, or download it as Excel or CSV.
Filters
- Role — Customers, Vendors, Partners, or Everyone. Customers to start, because that is the usual question. All four live in the same contact book.
- State — always on the filter row. Tick as many as you like; No state is its own option, which gives you the contacts you never captured an address for.
- Status — Active only to start. Switch to Active + inactive when you want the whole history.
- Type — Retail, Wholesale, or whatever types your shop uses. Only appears when you have more than one.
- Store — only when your login can see more than one store.
Every state and type in the list is one your shop actually uses, with the number of contacts beside it. If a state is not offered, nobody in your book is in it.
What the counts at the bottom mean
Contacts, distinct states, how many have an email, and how many have a phone. The last two are the useful ones before a campaign: a list of 80 Florida customers with 31 emails tells you what kind of outreach is available.
Printing and sending
The buttons at the top right work the same as every other report:
- Print — the on-screen list, minus the filter controls.
- PDF / Email — send it to yourself or straight to somebody else.
- Excel / CSV — the full list including the columns the screen hides on a narrow window (address, postal, phone, email). The file is named for the states you picked, so
customer-list-fl.xlsxstays recognizable months later.
Customer List or Mailing Labels?
Both filter by state. They produce different things:
- Customer List — a readable list with phone and email, for calling, checking, or handing to somebody. Includes contacts with no mailing address.
- Mailing Labels — the same people arranged onto label sheets for an actual mailing. Contacts without a usable address are dropped, because there is nothing to print on a label.
Use this report to decide who to reach, and Mailing Labels when you have decided and want to mail them.
Filtering the Contacts list instead
If you just want to look something up on screen rather than produce a document, Contacts now has the same State and Customer type filters in its toolbar, alongside Role and Status. The counts beside each state come from your own book, exactly as they do here. It is the faster path when somebody is on the phone; this report is the one you print.
