Consigned Goods

Every piece a vendor has on memo to you, across jewelry, watches, diamonds, colored stones and pearls. Shows where each piece is (in stock, out on memo, or sold and not yet paid), how long you have held it, and what you owe. Subtotaled by vendor.

Consigned Goods answers “what do my vendors have here on memo, and what do I owe them?” It lists every piece marked as on memo from a vendor that you have not yet paid for or returned. It covers jewelry, watches, diamonds, colored stones and pearls in one list.

It is the other side of Memo Liability, which lists goods you have out on memo to customers.

Open it from Reports → Consigned Goods, or from the All consigned goods button on the Vendor Memos page.

Columns

  • Stock #: tap it to open the piece.
  • Received, Days: the purchase date on the piece and how many days you have held it.
  • Vendor: shown as a column only in Item detail view. When grouped, each vendor is a heading.
  • Vendor Memo #: the vendor’s invoice or memo number from the piece.
  • Type, Description
  • Qty: pieces for jewelry, watches and pearls, carats for diamonds and colored stones.
  • Where: see below.
  • Invoice: for a sold piece, the invoice it sold on and who bought it. Tap to open the invoice.
  • Cost: the vendor’s cost of the piece.
  • Balance Due: for a sold piece, what you still owe the vendor after any payouts.

Cost and Balance Due only appear for users who can see cost.

Where

  • In stock: the piece is in your store.
  • Out on memo: you have sent the piece out on memo to a customer.
  • In stock + on memo: some of the quantity is in each place.
  • Sold, not paid: the piece sold and the vendor has not been paid in full. These are the same pieces the Vendor Memos page lists for payout, with the same balances.
  • No stock, no sale: the piece shows no quantity in stock or on memo, but no invoice sold it either. Check these. It may have gone back to the vendor without being marked returned, or its quantity may be wrong.

Once you pay the vendor for a piece on the Vendor Memos page, or mark it returned, it leaves this report.
