Show & hide list columns
Every list in JewelTrak — inventory, watches, diamonds, orders, contacts, accounts, work orders, and the rest — lets you choose which columns you see. Different shops care about different fields, so rather than forcing one fixed layout, you pick the columns that matter to you and hide the ones you don’t.
Opening the Columns menu
Look for the Columns control in the list’s header row (it sits on the right side, by the last/Price column). Click it to open a checklist of every available column for that list.
- Tick a column to show it; untick it to hide it.
- Changes apply immediately — no Save button.
- Each list starts with a sensible default set of columns. If you’ve customized a list and want the original layout back, use Reset in the menu.
Your choice is remembered
Your column selection is saved per list and per device, so the next time you open that list it looks the way you left it. Inventory can show one set of columns while Orders shows another — they’re independent.
Column choices are personal to how you’re viewing JewelTrak; they don’t change what other staff see or what prints on documents.
A few columns are always shown
A small number of “anchor” columns can’t be hidden because the list wouldn’t make sense without them — for example the Stock # (or the equivalent ID/name) and, on inventory lists, the Price. Everything else is yours to toggle. If a list has more columns than fit your screen, the extra ones scroll sideways while those anchors stay in view.
Tip: fewer columns, less scrolling
If you find yourself scrolling sideways to see what you need, that’s the cue to open Columns and switch off the fields you don’t use. A tighter column set makes the whole list easier to scan — especially on a tablet or smaller laptop screen.
The status & channel markers under Stock
On inventory and watch lists you’ll also see small markers beneath the Stock #:
- Colored dots — the item’s lifecycle status: green = in stock, amber = out on memo, gray = sold, plus markers for returned, on hold, partnership, and vendor-memo items. A returned or scrapped item shows only that state.
- A 🌐 number — how many online sales channels the item is currently listed on (e.g.
🌐 3). Hover it to see which channels. The per-channel breakdown lives on the item’s Sales Channels tab. The marker is hidden when an item isn’t listed anywhere online.
These aren’t columns you toggle — they always travel with the Stock # — but they’re worth knowing so the dots and the globe number don’t look mysterious.
